Google navigation on the Galaxy S
For those of you that own the Samsung Galaxy S, you should see a Google navigation app on the phone. Unfortunately navigation on the Samsung Galaxy S doesn't work in South Africa. There is a nifty little trick to work around this, and I'm going to share it with you.
You have to download the maps from Brut which you then install on your phone, make sure to have Text to speech installed as this will allow for Google's Navigation app to work like a proper gps and direct you to your destination with that sexy voice that we all love. This does use up data services so make sure to turn it off once you're done finding where you need to go. Also make sure to download the Google streetmaps app from the Android app market.
Let me know if you get the app installed & what you think of it.
